Ontario government’s new “Stay at Home” Order - Parish updates

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

As a follow up to the Ontario government’s new “Stay at Home” order, I would like to send you this update to advise you, how this is going to affect our faith practice.

Effective Monday, January 18, 2021 the Church and Office will remain closed until further notice. Telephone calls and emails will be accessed remotely. All other services such as private confessions and any other spiritual or personal requests will be scheduled by appointments.

Live streaming of Holy Mass will continue as usual, Monday to Friday at 8:30am, Saturday morning at 9:00am, Vigil mass-Saturday, at 5:00pm and Sunday at 8:00am. For those who are not able to tune in to live stream the Saturday 5:00pm mass will be recorded and posted on the website to be viewed at any time.

I’m happy to let you know that the Communion Services will continue in our church on Sundays from 9:00am to 2:00pm by registration through Eventbrite, you may find the link on our website www.stmartinoftourschurch.ca.

During this state of emergency, if you are showing or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, if you have recently returned to Canada, if you have been exposed to someone who already contacted COVID or if you have any concerns and reservations to come to church, we strongly advise you to remain at home.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all our parishioners especially, all who are affected by this pandemic including all front line workers.

Please feel free to contact me or our parish staff for any of your spiritual needs by phone or by email (stmartins_mississauga@yahoo.ca). We are more than happy to be there for you.

Looking forward to the day when we can come together once again to celebrate our faith as one Happy Parish Family.

Yours in Christ,

Fr Gijo
